A month or so ago, a customer purchased a refurbished Macbook of ours running a clean install of 10.9. He's recently brought it back saying he is unable to download iMovie because it requires 10.10.
I work in a small computer shop. A month or so ago, a customer purchased a refurbished Macbook of ours running a clean install of 10.9. He's recently brought it back saying he is unable to download iMovie because it requires 10.10. Indeed, the version available to download from the App store requires 10.10.
Since 10.9 is only a few months old, I can't imagine it being out of support. Surely there is a way through official channels to purchase a copy of iMovie compatible with 10.9, right?

Sure, I could upgrade to 10.10, but I don't want to have to charge the kid labor to do so and him doing it on his own seems far above what he is capable of doing. Otherwise he would have already done it, ya know?
